South Fork
Newly re-built South Fork Campground is uniquely situated between large rock formations on one side and the South Fork of Clear Creek on the other. Its long wide spurs are ideal for larger RVs and motor homes, and a secluded area for tents is available across a walking bridge. Nearby is access to the ATV trail system and great fishing and kayaking in Tie Hack reservoir.
THINGS TO KNOW
Getting Here:
Highway 14A, from Lovell, is extremely steep, a 10-percent grade and more, is winding, has several hairpin turns, and many blind corners. This is a challenging road during the summer season.
Weather:
You are at high elevations here in the Bighorn Mountains. Remember to bring warming clothing for evenings as it can become chilly.
Don't Move Firewood:
Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site.

Driving Directions:
From Buffalo, Wyoming, take U.S. Highway 16 west for 15 miles to Forest Service Road 337. Follow Forest Service Road 337 east for .25 miles to the campground.
Camping Info
Extra Car Fee: $10.00
Two non-towed vehicles may be parked per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle is charged an extra fee collected at the campground.
Firewood: $6.00/bundle
Firewood bundles can be purchased from the campground host.
CLIMATE
TEMPERATURES
Spring temperatures range from 60°-70° F for the highs and 30°-45° F for the lows. Summer highs are in the 70°-80° F range with the lows reaching into the 40° F range.
RAINFALL
Most rain comes in May and June but come prepared for showers as they can happen all summer long.
SNOWFALL
Snow should be out of the mountains by early to mid May and shouldn't come around again until late September.
